Playa de la Misericordia, often simply referred to as La Misericordia, is a beach that stretches for about two kilometers. It’s located on the coast of Malaga and is relatively close to both Málaga and Torremolinos. The name comes from the fact that it’s located near Mercy Street (Calle de la Misericordia).
This beach with dark sand stands out for the old smokestack you can spot on the coastline. Furthermore, this beach has been awarded the Blue Flag, a distinction awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education.
