Durdle Door is a natural limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast near Lulworth in Dorset, England. Durdle Door beach are part of the Lulworth Estate which is privately owned by the Welds. The arch has formed on a concordant coastline where bands of rock run parallel to the shoreline. The rock strata are almost vertical, and the bands of rock are quite narrow. This beach are only accessible on foot via a steep path and steps over the hill from Lulworth. Very nice place for artists and also for their inspiration.
